RYLA Reset is an event for anyone connected to Rotary District #7780 who is passionate about youth services. It is held by the New Voices Rotary Club. Below is a wonderful description of the 1st Annual RYLA Reset by RYLA Staff Member and New Voices club member Cierra Albert.
I recently had the opportunity to attend this year’s first annual RYLA Reset held at Camp Hinds. Over the weekend, I was joined by fellow New Voices club members for a busy schedule filled with workshops on team building, action and goal setting, and just a little bit of fun! Due to some traveling circumstances, I was unable to attend this year’s RYLA and the chartering event for our new Rotary club. Hoping to connect with my fellow club members and our shared passion for RYLA, I turned to this retreat to do just that.
Some of RYLA Reset’s activities included doing the high ropes course and creating vision boards; what we see for the future of our newly created club. We also created our club’s mission statement and a plan of action for what’s next to come.
As a current member of the RYLA staff and the New Voices Rotary Club, I found this weekend as a huge refresher and a great way to reconnect with those who share a passion for servicing and inspiring others. It was also helpful in solidifying our New Voices club and what’s next to come. Looking into the future, I am excited to see how our members’ voices will come together to inspire others, by giving them a glimpse into the RYLA experience and service.
